I play a number of word games such as wordle and crossword puzzles and I noticed something recently. There are a number of words that I don’t initially consider because at one time they would have been considered to be a proper noun, acronym, or slang. The only reason I eventually got them is because of the other letters in the puzzle.
Now that I realize that words evolve over time I am more inclined to consider them initially.
Has anyone else experienced this.
