It is the culture of hockey. Fights are actually allowed. There is a reason the refs stand there and watch until somebody drops. It’s part of the rules.
That has specifically to do with hockey, not the skin color of the majority of the players.

You can ignore that something is normalized in a predominantly white sport and pretend race is irrelevant if you like. If it were black players or a mostly black sport, weenut would be calling them thugs.

Every single one of the “pro” reasons would apply equally to basketball. Yet, if there were half the fighting in basketball as we see in hockey, people would be screaming about how awful black people are.
Yeah, it’s part of the sport’s history and culture. I’m just pointing out that there is a bit of a double standard in how things are perceived. And what is normal in one sport–despite being despicable in human terms–is considered horrific in others.
