Lots of controversy over it. Snape was going to be a black man, but it appears they stepped away from that. Snape is one of the few people whose race you can’t change without changing the story.
John Lithgow said he almost declined because of JK Rowlings views on trans people. Sorry, but his view is spot on, and she is entitled to it. For those that don’t keep up, her view is that woman and female are not different things.
According to the liberal men here, if they put on a dress and wig they need tampons and can get pregnant. If you don’t agree you’re transphobic.

She’s never said anything bad about transpeople. Just women are women.

Rowling’s protest to runaway trans culture has been 100% centered around the resultant abuse of women and invasion of privacy.
The leftists can’t wrap their pea brains around the concept.
I thought this issue would help wake a lot of Democrat voters up, but it has been barely a handful. The machine is adeptly proving these people have no brains of their own.
That is the thing. I have not seen her say anything offensive about trans people but respectful towards real women. She wrote a beautiful article about it. I don’t get the hate.
Looks like they may have kept the black snape. Such a bad idea. It changes the tone of the show a lot.
Now people wil ponder if Harry doesn’t like snape because he’s black. Some of what he says will seem racist now.
