That’s exactly where I’m at. I plan to sell in the spring and then move in with my girlfriend in North GA. That’s where the mountains are anyway. I should walk away with about 400k and I’ll buy a nice fifth wheel with part of that money. And that’s my backup plan if living together doesn’t work out…just full time in the RV until I figure it out.
We are about two years from that.
We are technically empty nesters, but want to have a room for our kids until they finish college.
My daughter is probably going to stay in the area, I don’t think my son is ever coming back from Florida.
I offered my daughter to live at home rent free and obviously I wouldn’t sell if she took me up on it. Instead she chose to rent in the city so I can’t imagine why I wouldn’t sell now.
