This was actually a smart policy decision by the Biden Admin.
Good thing the GOP didn’t block him from doing it like the Democrats did to Trump.

It was a purely political move that turned into a good financial move for the government, but it did little to solve the underlying problem of inflation.
The point I was making is the rank hypocrisy of the Democrats.
What is a smart financial move by Biden was labeled as a “bailout for big oil” by the Democrats when Trump tried to do the same thing.
