A Broncos QB, I think it was Brian Griese, once had an injury because he tripped over his dog at home.
I haven’t kept up, but I thought the accident made Tiger’s chances of returning to form pretty unlikely.
Ya, he won’t catch Jack now.

This will show my lack of knowledge in sports. I thought Brett was considered one of the best third basemen in history?
I was thinking of baseball overall. If you are talking about third basemen, here is a good list of the all-time best ones. Brett is #2 behind Mike Schmidt. I think very few people would disagree with that.
The problem with a sport like baseball is they all play different positions. Once again this could be my ignorance.
It’s like comparing a hockey goalie to a forward. They have different jobs.
Basketball seems to the sport where a person can stick out past their job.
3B is one of those positions where baseball analysts typically want a hitter. I think Schmidt is clearly the best hitter of the group and an above average fielder. If fielding was the sole criteria, I would vote for Brooks Robinson, who was only an average hitter that played long enough to get 2,800+ hits.
