Frontier is a crap company.
Once upon a time I declared I would never buy a property in GTE territory. Then I got one where the telco was called Continental. They had at least a few rural exchanges. They had made improvements, like more infrastructure and upgrades to single party lines instead of 4-party. Then GTE bought them and never did anything to make it better. Not even DSL.
Then GTE morphed into Verizon. Finally a few years ago Verizon sloughed off all their rural exchanges to this thing called Frontier. Thinking it seemed like a cannot lose deal, I bought a few shares. Logic told me that a company that got good money from Uncle Sam could not lose. But alas Frontier, like its daddy Verizon did NOTHING to improve wire line service. When I boogied in 2018, the wire line was so bad that one could barely use dialup to get a little email. There was no alternative, or I would have used it.
Meanwhile Frontier stock went down, down, down and down. All the way to ZERO. My entire investment of a few thousand was a total loss. How they got bailed, I know not, but I ain’t looking back.
