It’s a Wonderful Life for traditional movie, Trading Places for a movie that I watch every year around Christmas.

It’s a Wonderful LIfe. I actually miss the days where you could just be channel surfing and find it running on many different places. For the Thanksgiving, it would be Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Agreed, stellar film :trophy:

The most moving scene in the movie. Sometimes this board makes me feel like this. But I don’t think John Candy was acting here

Die Hard and Bad Santa

We watch it every year.
We are waiting this year til the week after Christmas because my son is coming home for a week and his girlfriend is come, so she will get to enjoy it.

Is that the one where they sing songs and Chewbacca had his family and they were all acting like a bunch of muppets?

I’ve never seen it, is it as awful as it looks?

Heh. I would agree in an earlier time of life. I look at that scene in context now and see a guy latching onto a stranger who isn’t interested in his company and behaving pretty obnoxiously in the process…freeloading, messing up the bathroom, loudly clearing his sinuses while the other guy is trying to sleep, etc.

In classic soft soppy Hollywood fashion, it vilifies the character that reacted very understandably.

People who feel like that in real life and blame others are likely ignoring how their own behavior contributes to that kind of situation.

It’s so awful it’s epic

Yes, I could not afford the budget for drugs in that movie.

Worse.
You can’t buy it anywhere.
We stream it from YouTube

Maybe I’ll put it on during one of holiday get togethers, alcohol will probably make it better.
