Facebook Menu

Is anyone else having this problem. When I push the three lines at the bottom right of the Facebook page to get the Facebook menu, I get the word menu but no menu

This is what I get when clicking the 3 dots on a post.

Not currently, but FB likes to mess around with features, see if you’ll notice. More than half the time, when I look up how to do something on FB, I get what looks like clear instructions, but are not actually available.

@Bears54 - Thank you for answering my question. The three dots at the right of my posts gives me those options pertaining to that post. My problem is the three lines for the menu at the right side of the bottom of the page only gives me the word menu instead of an actual menu. I tried turning my iPhone off and rebooting it well as deleting the Facebook app and reinstalling it but neither solved the problem

I try to avoid Facebook on my phone as it seems to be about 10 ads for every post from anyone I know.

Well I hadda go look on phone to see it.

By the way, 3 lines (or 3 dots) stacked is called a Hamburger Menu

Mine says Menu at the top, then has my name, then some contacts 5 shown and more off screen to right, then two columns of items: Memories, Groups, Marketplace, Feeds and then Saved, Video, Friends, Events. Since I don’t do much with fake book, I did not know what was there.

Hard to imagine, but is your iPhone up to date? Mine is on IOS 18.1.1

Yes that is mine also so it is up to date.

I just went to my facebook account through my MacBook and it doesn’t have the problems that am am having with using Facebook on my iPhone. So apparently there is some temporary glitch with my Facebook app on my iphone that deleting the facebook app and reinstalling it doesn’t help

I don’t notice a difference between phone and pc browser — it’s all full of advertisement junk.

I rarely go on Fb anymore. Only thing keeping me on there even occasionally is people’s tendency to post life updates.

Even then, my generation posts so rarely that most of the individual content I see is from people I no longer know and am unlikely to reconnect with.

There is an extension called FB Purity that you can add and modify that will eliminate almost all ads, as well as a lot of stuff from friends that you don’t want to see. The only downside is that it can take a bit longer to load teh pages as it processes thru what you don’t want to see. If I turn it off then yes, it’s all ads.
