Eye floaters

Last November I was diagnosed with Uveitis in my right eye and have been treated by a retinal specialist ever since. My main symptoms have been cloudy vision and floaters caused by the condition. My current treatment is a steroid eye implant in that eye

Earlier this week I saw a uveitis specialist at Yale that was referred to me by my specialist

She wants to see me again in a few months to see if the steroids help the floaters If not she thinks I should have a virectomy which is eye surgery to remove floaters. Has anyone had this surgery or a less invasive way to help with floaters I personally would rather live with this problem than go through such a scary procedure

How bad are the floaters?

Eye surgery is more psychological than painful. Normally floaters go away on their own, so I suspect they are going to correct something else as well.

Mine have improved over time. I would recommend not doing anything invasive, yet. Welcome to old(er) age.

I’ve had floaters for a few years. They come and go. When I had a cataract removed, the doc said for awhile I would notice the more than before. He was right, but that is now slacking off. An ophthalmologist told me that the floaters could be removed, but they would eventually return. Bill is right.
