Is mandating people buy EVs by 2035 the same as had we mandated people buy Volkswagens from Jewish concentration camp labor during the Holocaust
I am wondering if fuel cells are cleaner the EVs and ICEs or if they are a less clean option? Would we have 100 million Hindenburgs if 100 million people chose the EV or are they safer now?
There is no power transmission losses with fuel cells as there is in the power grid. How efficient the fuel cells are is unknown to me. We have plenty of CNG vehicles with pressurized tanks full of CH4. If they are safe, so should hydrogen tanks be.
Dirigibles were giant inflated sacks of hydrogen, not metal hydrogen tanks.
Nothing can be cleaner that combining hydrogen and oxygen to come up with water vapor. No carbon byproducts at all.
Of course, we have to expend energy to obtain elemental hydrogen and oxygen for the fuel cells.
Why should government mandate we buy or don’t buy anything? We should be informed and make the choice ourselves.
