Trying to get my genealogical materials in some order and came across these books. These were my grandfather’s arithmetic and spelling textbooks. He was born in 1893 and attended a one room schoolhouse, which was about 2 miles up the dirt road that ran in front of their house. I am sure he walked it every day, or rode a mule. He left school at about age 11, when his father thought he was big enough to work on their farm.
My mother went to that same school later. These are just some random pages. Good luck.
