Tipping is out of control. As the prices of food prices skyrocketed, the tip also skyrocketed since it is based on %. Same thing happened with state sales tax collections. You buy the same goods, and you pay more. Now the person receiving the tip and the government also got inflated amounts.
Dominos’ commercial is basically “Tipping sucks. Please tip.”

Instead of giving you a coupon for $3 off your next over priced pizza, they should just pay the $3 per delivery. It is a crazy commercial.
Well…I think it’s clever. Outside of full service restaurants, pizza delivery was one of the "tips accepted but not expected " business. And while tipping suck, if you tip your driver $3 they will give it back to you if you order a pizza the following week. If you have pizza once a week they are basically covering the tip
Or…if someone usually orders a pizza once a week (I do but I go pick it up) they might tip the driver a dollar. But if they tip the driver $3, they will get a coupon to get the tip back. If they added it to the price of their “overpriced pizza” they would make it MORE overpriced and might make the competition, who is still relying on tips as well to gain some business.
