I have not had a cigar since the pandemic.

Ah…those were the days. But I had to accept that I am addicted to nicotine and if I have even one cigar, odds are very good that I would be back on cigarettes before the end of the night.

Nice. Everyone needs their happy place where they can disconnect from technology and daily bullshit to be alone with their thoughts or with someone they care about.

I care about Gloria, of La Gloria Cubana cigars!

I recently watched a YouTube video about cigars, I was unaware that a $20 cigar is low end and some cigars are several hundreds of dollars a stick, and there are a few over a thousand.

After $15-$20 you are paying for the name, not the tobacco.
One thing that most people don’t understand is how important the dirt is.
You can use the same seed, but the minerals in the dirt they are grown in is what really is important.

As someone who has probably smoked less than 100 cigars in my life and most of those in the $5 to $10 range, I wouldn’t know a good cigar if it bit me in the ass. I’ve had Cuban cigars a few times and meh, I wasn’t impressed.

I don’t smoke anymore but I find cigars and cigarettes very different. One cigarette and I want to keep smoking. One cigar, no cravings.

Several years ago, my neighbor went to Cuba for an international medical conference. He managed to come back with a box of Cuban cigars and a bottle of Cuban rum. We sat on my deck…poured a little rum over ice and lit the cigars. For a while it was heavenly. I wish he could have brought me a nice Cuban woman. And there are some stunningly beautiful Cuban women.

The last cigar I smoked was a couple months ago with my dad. I under appreciated the nicotine that was in it. I literally got sick and started puking.

Agreed 100%

I smoked one with my son and his buddy last year, I had to make sure they knew not to inhale.

NIce try wee…but I grew up in Orlando and had a Cuban doctor who lived across the street. Every one of his daughters looked more like this

But in all honesty, my neighbors looked even nicer

yes that’s the before picture. Mine is the after 40 years

well…I do recall telling my mom (I was a teen back then) that this family was gorgeous from the grandma to the baby. Jet black hair…olive skin…dark eyes. Still my beating heart.

Cuba has a unique mix of white/European, African, a Caribbean DNA.
