Will let you know in a few days how it is.

Moonshine? Watch out for revenooers

Easier to make whiskey infused coffee.

Looks interesting. I like whiskey and I like coffee, but not flavored versions of either. I do occasionally have an Irish coffee.

I am going to dry out the bean after and grind them and make coffee.

Costco sold whiskey infused coffee a year or two ago. Meh, it was okay but nothing I’d buy again. I’d rather just put a splash of whiskey in a cup of coffee, but my boss frowns on that at work.

I had it, and agree.

I would think the oven at a low temp. The alcohol will cook off.

Ya, worst case scenario, I grind them, make a pot of coffee and it sucks and i throw them out.

It’s been a week, how did it turn out?

I have strained it but not tried it yet.
I am running a 5k this weekend so don’t really want to drink the week before (if my 20’s self would have heard me say that, he would kick my ass). So I will probably try it Saturday night with a cigar on the deck.

Just tried it.
Straight it mellows out the whiskey but has a seriously bitter coffee flavor.
I put just a hint of sweet cream coffee creamer in it and it almost completely hides the whiskey taste and smooths out the bitter.
I would not recommend it straight but could definitely see experimenting with it for cocktails. Kind of like a high proof Kahlua.

Ah. I thought you were going to make coffee out of it.

I am going to grind the beans too

That is why i suggested drying them in the oven. Not sure it’ll make good coffee since the alcohol will strip the oils.
