Comparing Chili’s and Ruth’s Chris is like comparing tee ball to Pro baseball.

Yup. Nothing wrong with casual restaurants, but it’s also nice to dress up and go somewhere nice where you’re not sitting next to a guy in cutoffs, flip flops and a “getter done” tank top.
Usually in upscale places you can dress more casual if you eat in the bar. When my son travels for business, he’ll usually hit the local Ruth’s Chris’s one night for their happy hour specials and sit in the bar.
Speaking of Ruth’s Chris’s, they have their three-course dinner special going on now. I can make a steak just as good or better at home, but you’re paying for the experience.
Damn!!! We were only a couple blocks away from there when we were in Nashville.
We decided if we were going to spend big money on a meal, it would be something local, but $60 on a steakhouse meal really isn’t that bad in todays pricing.
I think it just started this week. My kid usually stays at a Marriott in a city center when traveling for work and both in Denver and Salt Lake City. There’s a Ruth’s within walking distance of his hotel, he likes their happy hour.
I agree, Ruth’s Chris’s is a really nice experience and the food is decent.
Don’t you mean “Gitter Done.” ![]()
Yes.
