This Friday. Would’nt have known about it, until I saw an Ad pop up while I was watching a YouTube video promoting the game.
I don’t have YouTube, but since I live in KC, we can see the game on the over they air networks.
Usually during NFL games, I never watch the games Live.
Would set the DVR to record the game. When about 2 and 1/2 hours have gone since the start of the game, would watch from the beginning. Zip thru those annoying commercials.
Can’t record the game on YouTube. So if I start to watch the game after a couple of hours, wonder if I will be able to back track to the beginning.
Will find out tomorrow.
Let us know.
Will do. I have been recording NFL games for about 12 years now. have gotten better and quicker at it. Can watch a whole game in about 40 to 45 minutes.
Question.
Is this only on YouTube TV, or can I find it by searching regular YouTube?
Like KC, I will watch it over the air, but wondering for the future.
That’s funny. I don’t mind some of the stuff, but I like to be able to skip through the commercials at least, and a bit of the nonsense. Hulu and Amazon try to make that difficult.
It is on regular YouTube. Supposedly, 1st time ever………more to come??? Who knows.
I have youtubetv and its popped up on my channel list to watch it
Yeah…but if my nephew in Dallas wants to watch the game, he has to buy youtube TV. It would not surprise me that within the next 5 years the NFL removes the “courtesy” of allowing locals to see in on over the air TV and just requires subscriptions to either a shitload of streaming sites or to boost sales of teh NFL Sunday Ticket
Yep they can do that but they won’t because the fans will stop watching. The NFL is very smart and the most popular sport in the country.
They’ll do what ever makes them the most money, the NFL is a business.
I think they may reach a point that they get greedy. If they get $1 billion from Amazon to air just the thursday gams (and I don’t know what the hell drove them to pick Thursday in teh fist place) then I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Tuesday thru Friday night football on streaming
From the answers on this thread, he can just watch on regular youtube.
In the dark ages, when few NFL games were televised and the teams made a large share of revenue from stadium sales, the NFL had the 90 mile rule. A home game could not be televised within 90 miles unless the game was a sell out. Since I was then in Detroit, very few Lions’ games were televised.
I currently subscribe to NHL Center Ice, which advertises that all games are available. They usually have two broadcasts of each game, the home and away telecasts, but you can’t watch each game. Even today, the NHL has divided the entire country into markets. I cannot watch a Red Wings-Avalanches game because we are in the Avalanche market, although we are about 450 miles from Denver.
Yep, I remember the local .CBS station buying Bears tickets so they could broadcast the game. I remember 3 games a week, 2 on Sunday and Monday night which was a big deal back then.
NHL and MLB royally screwed the pooch.
I used to keep Royals games and Blues games on my TV at all times whether I was sitting in the room watching or not.
Now I have to pay for a separate app for Royals games, and another for Blues games. (which I have neither)
Same with the Cubs and Blackhawks, I can’t even get the Marquee Sports Network (Cubs) on YouTube TV. I’ve been to a couple games this year and my kids been to five or six, but the only way I can watch them is condensed games on YouTube a day later.
Has that rule even changed? Aren’t they still blacking out games?
Yep. The NFL was the first to recognize that TV and tons of ads were where the money was at, not in the stadiums on Sunday. My problem, that’s extended what used to be a 2 1/2-3 hour game to 4 hours, so I watch a lot fewer games. Now, it seems that they might be getting even more from streaming. Not sure what that is going to do.
