Can a 103 point cholesterol decline be bad

My sodium and chloride levels also rose substantially. A1C declined slightly. Reflux declined and have had only to take as needed… Might be temporary with prednisone use. Currently on antibiotic. B-12 high, D low. Sodium and chloride high as well. Normal blood pressure

I’m taking Vascepa and a statin for cholesterol but my previous declines were 5 points. My LDL is now 80 and triglycerides are down to 130. Total cholesterol went from 244 to 141.

I also take magnesium citrate or glycerinate daily

I Bought some magnesium glycerinate on the advice of my YouTube doctor. They were as big as horse pills, and I couldn’t swallow them. I tried cutting them into with a knife, then they cut my throat going down. It’s supposed to be really good for you though.

SP: Speaking from my own personal experience. Those numbers look very good. LDL below 100 is considered good, the LDL is the killer. Triglycerides look normal too. The HDL is one protective one that you want to see normal, or above normal from what I’ve learned. Raising HDL is usually associate with diet and exercise I think.

Crush them and sprinkle into liquid. Perhaps wine? I think wine is really high in magnesium… just kidding, I have no freakin’ idea, but it relieves many other symptoms. :innocent:

I am fond of sweet whites and sangrias

Peasant! :innocent:

LOL!!!

Probably has to do with my German heritage

I could always go for a beer or wine (dinner or dessert) but don’t drink much or often

What were you triglycerides before? 130 is a good number. Did you try diet before medication? Triglycerides is often tied to diet and “white” products. Sugar, bleached flour, rice, etc.

Cholesterol is a whole topic of debate. Some says genetics. Some say diet. Mine fluctuates from 120-160.

Seems like the statin is working. Any side effects ?

I tend to have high triglycerides. In return I eat a more “paleo” diet to avoid medication.

Definitely family connection; my uncle has a very similar profile of high triglycerides and LDL.

Triglycerides were 183 in May, 137 currently. They’ve ranged from 141 to 183 on meds and were 228 before taking meds

LDL has been as high as 196. It went from 156 in May to 80 currently

I had taken a B-12 supplement and a statin, vascepa and 320 mg of magnesium for ADHD

I had been drinking a lot of cranberry juice
