I heard from BridgeMaven this week. She has been diagnosed with brain cancer and will be going for radiation treatments this week. Has also moved to a senior facility near her daughter’s family in GA.

Pray em if ya got em.

I am glad she is near her daughter…this is already difficult to face and to face it alone would have been terrible.

Several years ago on CH board there was a well respected chick who got a similar diagnosis; cannot remember her handle. We all wished her well, but she did pass. May the Lord be with BM and we hope to see her again real soon.

That was 1Character. She passed away from lung cancer.

My mom had a glioblastoma. Cancer fucking sucks. Hopefully she doesn’t have one of the terminal cancers. I highly recommend MD Anderson in Houston. They went above and beyond for my mom. She underwent an 11 hour surgery, then chemo & radiation. It bought us about 9 months.

Hopefully one day there will be a breakthrough in the cancer research and they will have a smoking gun treatment.

I’ve lost two life-long friends to glioblastoma brain tumors and I share your hope that is not what she has. In any case, I wish the best for BridgeMaven.

It probably wouldn’t be that hard to guess an address, but the one thing she did request was to keep from using her real name, so maybe best not. I did tell her she is in everyone’s thoughts.

Which is ironic since she gave us information to know her real name, and she posted her driver’s license at least once.

I rarely delete anything, but I did delete that.

She did that by mistake.

But she’s also posted enough information various times that anyone here could probably find her name, and her husband’s.

People can draw the privacy line wherever they want. I think only Hank and I use our actual names, and he’s taking a sabbatical.

Yes when I’m retired, I’d likely use it too

SP or aquaswim was a handle - aquaswim was because I had an interest in marine biology.

By the way, I’m sad to hear that about bridgemaven
