Blocked user data

Are there stats that one can access, of who is blocked?
I would love to see a list of the ranking of who is blocked the most from least.
Is that possible?

Not that you can access. I have stats I can see.

I bet if you guessed as to who is blocked, you’d be right

How many posters have blocked at least one person? I’m surprised people would go through the trouble.

I haven’t blocked anyone in a few years because I found by blocking some people on a thread the other posts on it didn’t make sense. With this in mind, I find it humorous whenever someone posts that they think I have blocked them. :grinning:

Where do you think you sit on the list?

I have 2 blocked…for 2 different reasons

I’ve got people on ignore whose comments I have no interest in whatsoever.

That decision was the product of almost four years of observation & interaction.

Maybe the most blocks?

I have found that just one block on one user makes a big difference in the noise level in the forums.

No chance that you have the most blocks

Varies from month to month but only three people consistently get blocked.

@Wintermute - what factor do you think causes people to get blocked. My guess would be personal insults and accusing someone of saying something that they never said.

Normally it’s when people feel they can’t have a conversation with the other person

IF that’s the case me, Carley, Friday and Beemer should have everybody blocked. As it is, I believe I lead the list of blocked posters.

Most aren’t personal towards me except Hank, he’s a dickhead! Brobbs used to get out of hand at times but he’s taken his foot off the gas of late.

I’d have to check but Carley has never been blocked to my knowledge. While people may not agree with his views, he’s rarely rude

I try to keep myself in check. As far as I know. I can’t be blocked.

Pretty much everybody around here is guilty of being disrespectful and childish when discussing and debating.

This doesn’t have to mean pure ad hominem attacks. Disrespect also comes in the form of straw man arguments and stubbornly repeating one’s argument after being debunked, and/or refusing to engage when an element of one’s argument is credibly challenged.

When people behave that way, they should not expect infinite patience from others. That is not a two-way conversation. Rather, it is somewhere between masturbation and a dismissive, condescending assertion of dominance/superiority.

I said pretty much everybody and that includes me, although I have been making sincere efforts to improve. I’m not so sure about many others.

I’ll have to up my game.
