Biden economic advisor

This may be one of the scariest clips you will ever watch.

Arnaud Bertrand on X: “This is absolutely priceless. And probably the most frightening clip you’ll ever watch on the people in charge of the US economy. Jared Bernstein is literally the Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, the main agency advising Biden on economic policy https://t.co/1b31FPFPCQ” / X (twitter.com)

I wish I could say I was surprised.

You have these people in Washington playing with very powerful toys and who (obviously) have NO IDEA what they are doing.

Sadly, that is extremely common in government and even in corporations. Incompetence and stupidity seem to be the norm.

Entrepreneurs tend to be smart. But fortune 500 companies seem to have a knack for being taken over by trust fund babies with no skills and no brains.

Obviously the same applies in DC.

Wholly fuck. This makes me consider getting rid of my USD and cash it in for gold and bitcoin. This fucker is clueless and he is advising the president. He must have graduated from the university of Venezuela. No wonder we have $10 billion daily deficit.

I just looked him up.
He has a Bachelors in music and a Masters in Social Work.

You literally can’t make this shit up!!

He was also praised by Paul Krugman.

Modern money theory.

Shivver!

Bernstein has taught at Howard University, Columbia University, and New York University. His areas of interest include “federal, state and international economic policies”

No wonder kids with college degrees are dumber than a box of rocks and cant figure out how to pay their loans. This makes sense when you realise that AOC has an economics degree. If this is the professor.

I literally am more qualified to teach economics than him.

Well, since 2021, the results sorta speak for themselves. Were you really better off at the end of April 2000? Don’t fib to me now, I’ve got liedar rotating. :innocent:

Yup. Years of roaring inflation and a fuckload more homeless people. Thanks for reinforcing the point.

Compare to the rest of the world the U.S. inflation is anything but “roaring”. Full stop. The homeless people problem is a long-term issue that’s increased for years and is due to shortages of affordable housing and affordable rents. Rental prices are out of control. The expiring Covid relief has wound down accelerating the problem.

But my question remains, were you better off in April 2020 today? Do you still have a place to live, are your retirement savings not increasing? Has Bidenomics cratered your lifestyle?

I won’t say inflation and homelessness are outliers, but they are only 2 negative components against a host of very positive ones. You can’t always have everything you want, all the time.

Ah yes. Tell the Americans scraping to get by that “hurr durr, at least you don’t live in Venezuela”:woozy_face:

That doesn’t mean what you think it does

Go to 2019 and yes.
And before you talk about the pandemic, Trumps only mistake was listening to the alleged “experts “.
