Best 9 seconds of hockey ever

Obviously a pre-planned move on the part of the U.S. The feeling was the Canadians sorta bullied the U.S. lads in the last Olympic games, and the U.S. was out to put that to rest. We follow the Lightning and are fans of Hagel, and he held his own against the bigger guy. Nevertheless, the U.S. team got its point across early on, and I think it had its effect.

I lost a bet with my son’s girlfriend on the Blues v Lightning game so I now have a shirt that I have to wear and say “Go Bolts” randomly.

I also love that it wa the Tkachuck brothers, their dad was one of my favorite players.

The fights…just like in the old days. Miss those days.

Hockey is such a different culture. Any other sport and the officials would have instantly been breaking up the fight.

It’s part of the strategy of the game. Sometimes you’ll have your worst player take out their best player.

Which again, would be outside the culture in any other sport.

The closest thing in football was bountygate and coaches got long suspensions for that.

The main difference in other sports you get ejected and suspended.

In hockey you go to timeout for a few minutes

One of my all time favorite movies.

And more about the Hanson brothers

If I am Keith, I get Charleston Chiefs jerseys with Tkachuck on the back and get a picture with the boys!!

From Detroit Hockey Now -
""Those two are lunatics,” Keith said. “I don’t know what to tell you. They’re great kids off the ice, but on the ice, you know, they’re funny. I love the personality. I think it’s great.”

Parenting done right!!

You advocate picking fights? Do you think the Ryan dad and brothers are the best NFL coaches ever?

When needed.

The “picking” part strongly implies they were not needed.

That opinion is in very small minority
