Average housewife

when the show Roseanne was popular, I told my husband that most love that show because they identified with with her as the average housewife, but I don’t identify with her at all all my husband surprised me by saying what makes me consider imyself to be the average housewife because there is nothing about me that is average That made me think what is average. any opinions?

at the same time, I considered myself to have more in common with the 50s tv shows of the era even though even though I was a career mom

The beautiful thing about people is that we are all different and we are all complex beings. That make us each totally unique from everyone else on the planet. No two humans are alike.

Because we are tribal by nature we look for ways to associate with others similar to ourselves and/or provide the qualities (or defects) that make us feel at ease and safe in their company.

I think most people consider “average housewife” to be what the midpoint of the typical features, actions, environment, geographical area, family, and social group(s) they find the housewife in question in.

But since we are all human, no two judgements are exactly alike. :slightly_smiling_face:
