Wife hit a deer the other day. It caused damage that then caused overheating and blown head gasket. I haven’t completely ruled out repair on the 17 rav4 with 210K miles.
It looks like truck prices are falling fast. Interest rates are 7%+.
We are possibly looking at 21-23 F150. A recent poster on a forum with a loaded up 21 for sale was complaining that his truck originally $75K MSRP and now has it listed for $51K. The thought of paying over $40K for a vehicle is insane to me. The most expensive vehicle I have ever bought before was my 22 Maverick for $27K. By the way that maverick now has 55K miles on it. I have a backup vehicle so I am not in a immediate crunch but that backup vehicle is going to be costly to drive. Its a 08 F350 Dually.
I’ve seen several stories on that, over the next few months you should be able to find some great deals. If you’re trading a truck in, don’t expect to get much.
Same here. It’s also one of the most affordable SUV’s on the market. Even the very top end model, which they say rivals Lexus or Mercedes, is just over $40k. I have mine, my niece in Texas has a CX5, my niece in PA has a CX9, my brother and sister in law have a CX5 and CX9. We’ve all had them for several years and all of us still love them.
Towing a 5th wheel. We’re thinking about getting a triple axle toy hauler, GVWR could be 25,000lb. But it’s not time critical, it’s more like if I find a great deal I could buy. And same with the 5th wheel, happy to roll with my 32’ Winnebago for now.
That all depends on options. You can order a new with some decent options for about $60k. If you get all the options youll end up at $100k. Are all those options worth it? I guess thats a personal choice. Im more of a basic kinda guy and id rather have vinyl floor and vinyl seats than carpet and leather. I love many miles down a dirt road and its hard to keep anyting nice for longer than a day. My maverick has 55k miles and i have washed it 3 times.
