Are cultures for the death penalty

Less likely to approve assisted suicide and actually more respectful of life overall? :grinning: Canada abolished the death penalty in 1997 and approved assisted suicide by 2012, for example. Now you don’t even need to be terminally ill. Maryland abolished the death penalty in 2012 and after several failed attempts are unfortunately likely to pass assisted suicide here

It seems that within 2 decades following abolishment of the death penalty, the state, territory, or country approves assisted suicide for the elderly. So instead of a lethal injection for a murderer, we now use lethal injection because the nursing home needs a new bed

One thing missing from your post is a reference to quality of life.
