I typically don’t get added insurance when I rent a car. I will probably get it next time I go to Yellowstone. I sat in long lines of bison last time I was there and nearly hit one on the road at night.
As a Realtor in Alaska, the owner of a ranch that raised Bison to sell for meat was showing me around the place while I took photos for advertising.
I had gotten out of his truck and made my way over closer to a small herd of the animals when they started to move in my my direction. I yelled back at him for guidance about how close I should let the herd get before getting back in the truck.
He replied back to the me “Oh, you’ll know when.”
He was right, when they move closer to you they get real big really fast!
