This morning I couldn’t get on this site, YouTube was spotty and Amazon had different fonts and would not work. In Troubleshooting, I started Firefox in safe mode, which disables add ons and everything worked fine… Restarted and problems are back. I removed Adblcok Ultimate and found that there is something there that was causing problems. I installed a different ad blocker and everything is back to normal. So if your browser is doing some wierd shit, see if you have adblock ultimate and if so, remove it and see if the problem is resolved. It also seemed to make the computer very slow. Kind of weird. I installed Adguard and am back in business.
I use uBlock Origin with Firefox (in Win10). Ancestry is the only site where I have to disable it because of their archaic site designs.
