Both should be pretty obvious after last night’s game.
Troy Aikman pointed out several instances where a younger Aaron Rodgers would have taken advantage of an opening and run for a first down but where Rodgers’ legs now no longer have that step.
As for Mike Tomlin, his supporters point out that he has never had a losing season in nineteen years in Pittsburgh. However, this stat sums up what the past ten years have been like.
Maybe so, but I was so turned off by the way Rodgers treated Green Bay that I took great pleasure in watching last nights game. He’ll still be remembered as one of the greatest individual players to play the game. But he only has one super bowl.
Like Drew Brees, Rodgers also only has one Super Bowl appearance, too. Like I have said, I don’t think it is a coincidence that Brees and Rodgers squeezed their teams for every last red cent they could get while Tom Brady always left money on the table for the supporting cast.
Serious question: Would you want the Tirans to hire Tomlin?
I deliberately put up the photo of him and Marvin Lewis with that stat. Lewis got a lot of flack for his lack of playoff success, whereas many give Tomlin a pass and assume he will be in high demand if his time in Pittsburgh ends. Nobody said the same of Lewis towards the end of his tenure in Cincinnati.
