A Life Well Lived

Most of you are too young to recall Charley Johnson as QB of the St. Louis Cards and Denver Bronco in the 60s and early 70s. It turns out he was much more.

After leading NMSU to an 11-0 record in 1960, as a walk on, he played 15 years in the NFL. He also obtained an MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering, was Army Reserve most of his life (activated for a period in the 60s as a Lt. and was assigned to NASA), had his own engineering consultant company, chaired the NMSU Chem Eng Dept for 4 years and was an interim Prez of NMSU. Also, well loved and respected here in NM.
