Actually, give the kid credit…Here in my area, the “well to do” are buying their middle school kids electric scooters or electric motorcycles…which are capable of speeds of 20+ mph, without giving them any sort of traffic and personal safety training. This saves the parents the trouble of taking the kids to school or putting them on a bus. Already we have had a couple of kids killed by cars riding them.. I’ve said that if they don’t want to drive their kids to school they might as well give them the keys too the car. At least they will have air bags and sheet metal to protect them.
