Most of “budget busters” listed in the article apply to everyone, not just retirees. Cutting out things like Starbucks, a new car ever 5-6 years, higher priced cell plan and deluxe car washes frees up money for other things like travel and dining out.

Some of the things on the list are kind of funny like overtipping, ATM convenience fees and buying overpriced greeting cards and wrapping paper.

Not sure what the point of the article is. The listed behaviors are applicable to people of all ages, not just retirees. In fact, some of those are more attributable to younger people than retirees.

Retirees will give them “clicks”. But in 7 years of retirement I can say with certainty that I have never paid an ATM fee

And I can say that in my entire life I have never paid an ATM fee.
