I base this only on my cycling group, but most of the guys are over 70 and many are over 80. They aren’t sitting in rocking chairs. ONe guy is 82 and paid $12k for a new bike last year. Another one is 86 and he just bought a new Suzuki 750 to play with. We have traveled to Iowa, Louisiana and Kentucky for rides, and we are planning a bike and barge in the Netherlands for sometime next year. Several of them in their mid 70’s are doing the Camino de Santiago in Spain next year as well. So it’s very possible to continue your spending well into your 70’s.
