I have a pension and SS I took at 62.
Because of the potential for some to squander the check. And still others who may have poor investment earnings
My best window is in 21 years when I get 39.6% of my pay (only on paper) and whatever I get in SS
The biggest hurdle is that I only have $180,000 so Iām slated to have just $1.5-$2M by the time I kick the bucket aka retire - hopefully not really kick the bucket unless it helps avoid a slow agonizing death
