Heard this on the radio the other day.
Damn near wrecked.
This song will be in my memory forever.
At ROTC camp, we had a march through rain with a gas attack.
Later there was a talent show… featuring this song with changed lyrics. Instead of…
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
We got…
Walk on through the Rain,
Walk on through the Gas,
with your Poncho still on your a$$
FYI: the Poncho is a rain slicker carried on the back of the pistol belt hanging over your butt. We were ordered not to use it that day.
This song doesn’t make me cry, but every now and then a movie may bring a tear.
I haven’t listened to country radio for years. Most of it is such crap. But there’s a gem once in a while.
This one used to get shared in our dementia FB groups quite often.
