Senators push for big change to Social Security to save the program

SQUIRREL!!!

You are already driving the Cadillac, why should the rest of us be stuck in a Yugo?

If we’re going to get socialist, Corollas for everyone!

My point is, any solution that involves diverting current money away should keep in mind where it’s going. You take our dollars out, the boomers are going to be screwed and boomers will never allow that.

Literally every solution potentially harms some demographic, but private accounts is the only solution that fixes the sytemic failures after that harm.

Why social security doesn’t work. You’re just explaining why we shouldn’t have it.

And you can’t use purple waffles to shingle a utility shed in Oklahoma.

Tell your parents.

My parents have passed, but my in laws also have a Cadillac, my Father in Law retired from the Railroad.

Two complete separate issues.
And if you would follow my position on this, we shouldn’t be “spending” money on Social Security.
It should be in private accounts that the Feds can’t touch.

I was staying on topic… SS.

You’re not… reply somewhere else.

I agree. I may have to start posting nonsense on youtube and getting followers.

You skipped over this part..

Retired District Manager, Social Security Administration

I wouldn’t think his knowledge is drivel, but that’s me.

My mother doesn’t think it works either.

My mother receives a pension from GM, the state and something else. She also receives social security but feels the program is broke.

I deleted them. You’re welcome. They will only live on in the messages you quoted.

That actually scares the living shit out of me!!

And all that really means is he knows how to manage payments.

Government officials are often the worst class to consult as ‘experts,’ because their entire frame of mind is compromised by the deep state narratives that dominated their careers.

They are married to the bureaucracy

My daughter recently applied at KU Med (she didn’t take the job) but I was reading their benefits package. They offered what they called a 401A, where the employee automatically had 4% of their pay contributed to a retirement account and the hospital would contribute 3%. They also offered a secondary retirement plan (457). I can see more of these forced savings programs being created.
