Two ones? Impressive luck.
More threes than sixes is one of my goals, and I used to have it, but not now.
I literally only remember one of them.
Almost got a full year on your max streak.
My stats to date. Had to restart streak after a hiccup of some kind reset it to one. BTW, I think a another hiccup mistakenly credited me with 5, ones. I don’t think so. I seem to recall 3 where I used words I frequently use for starters, piano, raise, and sauce or sauté.
Does anyone else ever try Connections. I think my success rate there hovers around 65-70%. Some of the games rely too heavily on pop culture type terms. They aren’t my strong suit. (Whoops I just saw H200 had already given a nod to Connections. His results seem similar to mine. Has anyone tried Nerdle (sorta Wordle with numbers and math operators), or Waffle (rearranging letters in a 5x5 matrix into 6, 5-letter words in 15 or fewer moves?).
Should have been still running but I got busy one day and forgot to play I’ll get it back
Yeah, I’m at 68% in connections. GF is in the 70s.
I was also able to play wordlle today without an account but couldn’t do the mini puzzle unless I created an accounts for it.
The strategy I’ve settled on is to try and pick up three vowels and a common consonant in my first guess. Then pick up the other two vowels in my second guess plus place a yellow letter in it if I have one.
To make it more fun I switch starter words an try and not use one more than once or twice a month.
I guessed RATIO first guess when the answer was RADIO and a year and a few days later guessed RADIO first when it was RATIO.
I never checked my stats on Connections before. Checked today and was surprised that I’m at 76%, quite a bit better than I would have guessed.
If you’re into cruel online games, try one of the online 4-suit spider solitaire sites. A brutal lesson in failure. Here’s the one that works best for me. Spider Solitaire (4 Suits) - Play Online & 100% Free | Solitaired.com
I was mentioned in Connections today
I’m confused, stink, suck, blow, or bite? ![]()
It’s a goofy CONNECTIONS puzzle today!
I got it, but had to google EMO.
You got me!!
That is twice recently!!
Does anyone else think that the NYT may be trying to compensate for all the money they are losing from long time subscribers who have cancelled their daily newspaper in recent years

Subscribers are up.
They must have different groups making up the puzzles, they vary a lot in difficulty and some of the stuff looks like older or younger people are involved. This last week we’ve had some tough ones.
Connections seems to go back and forth. I just had a nine day win streak, then missed the last three.
