The Windows OS has become so ridiculously complex that it is no pleasure to use.
The machines at work are virtually unusable after a big update because the processor is so taxed writing and rewriting.
I bought a laptop with an NVMe hard drive 4 years ago & have used it lightly. It was lightning fast at first, taking 10 seconds to boot. Now after 4 years of OS updates, it is slowing down and showing its age.
I’m not sure I’ll replace it when it goes. Doesn’t seem worth it.
I’ve been running Linux for 10 years. It’s still fast. Updates, even OS updates caa a n install in the background.
