Hmm. I wonder. This is one of the most religious states ive been.
It’s the only state where I’ve been asked if I’m a Christian on a regular basis.
In the south, they’d assume you’re Christian. They might ask what church you attend.
I was told my a friend her family was having a get together. I was welcome to attend if I was Christian. I said, you know I’m Catholic. She said yes, but her aunt wants to know if you’re Christian.
My mother was from Kentucky and converted to Catholicism when she married my dad. Her KY and TN relatives could not understand why she was joining a religion that practiced idolatry.
I told her to tell her aunt, I was the only real Christian as we were founded by Jesus and the first pope was Peter.
I wasn’t invited back to another family event for two years.
