This is cool that the #1 recruit in the country is going to a HBCU.
Is he hurting his future? It was 2000 when the last player was drafted in the first round from Jackson State. Must have been a banner year for JState as 4 were drafted that year by the NFL
I think the NIL made this possible.
Now he can make money and get his name out there through sponsorships without violating the NCAA rules.
Which will mean that he will still be seen by the NFL scouts.
And if he’s as good as predicted, he will stand out, even at Jackson St, especially if he sets a few records along the way. Trey Lance from No Dakota St was picked 3rd in the last draft.
Good scouting departments can find guys like that in today age of information.
