I have to say the author seems a little bitter but also seems to love his mom for who she was.
Oh, it didn’t strike me as bitter at all. It seems like she was a fun lady and the author knew she’d have liked the obit.
Fun thing: either the newspaper, or more likely, myself, made a mistake on one of my wife’s obits, so the headline on it had my name instead of hers. When I asked them to correct it, I never heard back.
I live in North Carolina, haven’t visited it yet, but Kill Devill Hills is where there is a Wright brothers National memorial.
