It is nearly comical to listen to my MIL and wife in the kitchen fixing Thanksgiving turkey dinner.
Like two cats tied at the tail. An annual occurrence. Wish I could sell tickets.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of the forumers, regardless of your political philosophy. In memory of Thanksgivings past, cue up Alice’s Restaurant one more time.
And for historical accuracy, the first Thanksgiving did not occur in Massachusetts in 1620. Those settlers would not have survived if the Indians had not showed them how to farm and what animals (including turkeys) could be eaten. But in 1619, when a ship arrived near Jamestown, Virginia that had thought to have been lost at sea, the governor of the Virginia colony ordered a feast of thanksgiving for their arrival.

In Plymouth Massachusetts, there is a tourist trap that attracts thousands of people each year. It is Plymouth rock, where the Pilgrims “landed” in 1620.
