Geosearch warrants

Yeah, the Apple thing was even more ludicrous. I wrote a column about it at the time.

I’m guessing part of it is that judges are too cozy with law enforcement and don’t have a sense of the technology and how broad these warrants can be. It probably seems like a good idea if you can narrow down to the one person who was in these exact 5 places at these exact times, but I doubt it’s often that specific.

I am not seeing how that is possible in this scenario

In our County I would guess that over 80% of our judges are former prosecutors.
