Thankfully I was in southern New England so we merely got 50+ inches each year compared to the 80s-90s further north
Apple-picking in the snow on Nov 1 was very cool. Good sour apples. Cortlands are sour there not where I live. I have to get Cameos or Granny Smith for tart here.
In Chicago they call that “dibs”, they’ll use a couple lawn chairs, a couple milk crates, saw horses or whatever to save a parking spot someone cleared out. You could be shot taking someone else’s spot.
