Reading Kav’s opinion is pure heaven.

Its going to be interesting to see how this plays out. Apparently, the value of a $75-100k education doesn’t come into play anymore. I personally am not a fan of amateur athletes being paid, but I also understand the argument that the NCAA is making tons of $ off of them.

It is price fixing, among other things.

When my daughter was a freshman at Northwestern 1995/1996 their football team were the Big Ten champions and went to the Rose Bowl for the first time since 1949. Then after doing well enough to go to the Citrus Bowl the following year their coach Gary Barnett received a lot of offers but the students at Northwestern thought he loved them too much to leave. However, they were wrong. At that time, I was shocked to learn that college football coaches earn significantly more than college Presidents do.
