I expected to get two 1099s from social security for 2022 - one for what they paid my husband while he was alive and the another one for what they paid me for the entire year. However, I received three - one for my deceased husband and two for me. However, the two for me had different codes. One had the letter A after my social security number and the other one had D after my social security number. Is that because after he died I chose the option of receiving my future benefits based on what he had been receiving instead of what I had been receiving.

Thank you Jimtoo! According to that chart my status appears to have been changed from primary wage earner to aged widow after my husband died.
