All my grandpa’s crew died except for him. They were training on the day my Grandpa left. They wanted him to fly with them one more time before he went home. That day his plane went down during training and all his crew mates died. My grandpa didn’t go out that day because he really wanted to get home. Grandpa never really talked about the war much. He did keep a detailed journal.
